Inflation takes center stage this week as investors await September's Consumer Price Index on Wednesday and Producer Price Index on Thursday. Retail sales, industrial production, and regional manufacturing surveys will provide additional insight into economic momentum. The Federal Reserve's Beige Book will also offer perspective on business conditions as policymakers weigh persistent inflation against growth.

Third-quarter earnings season begins with major financial institutions, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley. Results will provide an early assessment of consumer strength, lending activity, and corporate profitability. Johnson & Johnson, UnitedHealth, and BlackRock also report.

Technology remains in focus with earnings from ASML and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, alongside the Open Compute Project Global Summit and SEMICON West. Investors will be watching for evidence of sustained AI infrastructure demand, particularly as elevated valuations and financing requirements face increasing scrutiny heading into the reporting season.
