Investors enter the new week with attention shifting from the Federal Reserve toward the health of the labor market. Following the Fed’s decision to leave rates unchanged, incoming employment data could play an important role in shaping expectations for the December meeting.

The economic calendar builds toward Friday’s October employment report, with September JOLTS data providing an earlier read on labor demand. ISM manufacturing and services surveys should offer additional perspective on underlying business activity. A resilient labor picture could keep upward pressure on rates, while softer readings may renew debate around the path of monetary policy.

Earnings season also remains active. Apple and Palantir report Monday, followed by Advanced Micro Devices Tuesday and several prominent consumer and technology companies Wednesday. With technology shares under pressure last week, corporate guidance and spending plans may influence whether market leadership broadens or volatility persists.
